The Spring-Bolt Epoxy Glue is a two part glue, comprising equal measures (by sight) of parts A and parts B. The two parts must be thoroughly mixed using a putty knife or similar tool. There must be no streaking and must be mixed to an even colour. When you are confident you have adequately mixed it please continue mixing for a further 30 seconds. Far better to be absolutely 110% certain. Once you have fitted the Spring-Bolts into their corresponding holes then fill each hole to half full with the epoxy glue. When the centre bar and the two springs are combined the epoxy glue will totally fill the void. The epoxy glue is a very slow set, this allows you the time to assemble other parts of the staircase balustrading before the glue starts to gel. It will be at least 3 hours before the setting process makes the epoxy glue start to thicken. A very good way of monitoring the setting process is to save a small amount of the mixed epoxy glue and put it to one side. Check after 24 hours, the glue will have set, but you may still be able to make a mark with your thumb nail. Within the next 24 hours the glue will be fully set and will resist marking.
